The opportunity to serve at the Navigators Camp is opened up to ALL volunteers! READ this document Click here before responding, because there are some limitations (age, physical condition, hours, etc.) But the work is open beyond just our DR credentialed volunteers, so tell your friends!
God is using Disaster Relief to reach many people for His kingdom. Colorado, Oklahoma, California, Missouri, and Texas have been working together cleaning up burned out homes for uninsured homeowners. Many of them have told us that our service has made the difference between bankruptcy and having the hope to rebuild. The hundreds of man-hours of work it takes to clear all the debris from a burned home is our gift to Jesus, as He told us that we are doing it for Him when we do it to “the least of these My children.” Let us continue to give Him Glory with our labors.
We trained 64 volunteers this weekend in Bellvue, right near the High Park Fire. Some of them will deploy to do Chainsaw and fire cleanup work in their own neighborhoods very soon. Pray that God will use their work to open a door for the Word!
Another training in Colorado Springs last week. Over fifty volunteers trained, and some of them have already deployed to do feeding in Colorado Springs.
We had a great training May 18-19 at Mancos. Over thirty volunteers trained to respond to disasters.
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers in many states have spent time this spring preparing themselves to respond to needs of individuals and communities when disaster strikes. These volunteers know that while the disasters are not yet seen they must be prepared to respond in a moment’s notice.
